Suspect sought in Personal Robbery

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, October 28, 2016    11:37am

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating the recent robbery of a female victim at an ATM, and the theft of her vehicle.

On October 18, 2016, at approximately 9:45 pm, a female victim, aged 60, was in the process of withdrawing cash at an ATM at a bank situated along the 2500 block of St. Joseph Boulevard, in Orleans. A lone male suspect entered the ATM vestibule brandishing a knife. The suspect made a demand for the cash the victim had just withdrawn, as well as for her car keys. The suspect fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash, in the victim's vehicle. There were no injuries. The victim's vehicle was found the following day off City Park Drive, in the area of the Gloucester Centre. 

The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, with a stocky build, approximately 5'8"(173 cm), 30's, with a goatee. At the time he was wearing a black hooded jacket, a baseball hat with purple brim, blue jeans, white running shoes and he carried a black knapsack (images attached.)
