(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit has laid charges in connection to an August bank robbery and an arrest warrant has been issued.
On August 2, 2016, at approximately 1:00 pm, a female suspect entered a bank situated along the 500 block of Montreal Road. The suspect produced a note making a demand for cash and insinuated she was armed. No weapon was seen. The suspect was provided an undisclosed quantity of cash and fled the premises. There were no injuries.
The female suspect was arrested the following day and was charged in relation to this robbery.
Charges have since been laid in connection to a male accomplice that waited outside the bank. Jarah ELENEZI, of Ottawa, age 33, has been charged with the following offences:
* Robbery
* Conspiracy
* Breach of probation
* Breach of recognizance
On September 7, 2016, an arrest warrant was issued in relation to these charges. Several other arrest warrants on unrelated matters are also still outstanding.
Elenezi is described as being a male, of mid eastern descent, 5'7"(170 cm), 205 lbs (93 kg), black hair, brown eyes (photo attached.)
