(Ottawa) –The Ottawa Police Service received a 911 call on Saturday morning, March 18, 2017, at approximately 11:15am, for an unknown male walking in a common area of the 1400 Block of Mayview Avenue. This male was carrying a baseball bat and suffered from obvious injuries.
Front line officers attended the area and found the injured male. While investigating the information provided by the injured male, officers recovered an unspent round (bullet). While continuing the on scene investigation, video surveillance was obtained and officers confirmed the dispute between the injured male a second unknown male (the investigation continues.) The injured male was seen walking with a long rifle.
Pierre François HOULE, 59, of Ottawa, is charged with:
- Possession of a weapon dangerous to the public
- Possession of a firearm without holding a licence
- Possession of a firearm knowing not holding a licence
The Guns and Gangs Unit continues to investigate.
HOULE will be in show cause court today, Monday, March 20, 2017.
