(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section is seeking public assistance to identify a male subject who approached a 14 year old female pedestrian in Orleans, while driving a vehicle.
On Thursday September 24th 2015 at approximately 3:40pm, an unidentified male was driving a vehicle and approached a 14 year old student who had just got off her school bus on Orleans Boulevard near Longleaf Drive. The male made several verbal comments attempting to get her to enter his vehicle. An unrelated second vehicle approached from behind and activated their horn, but the subject kept pace with the female pedestrian, continuing his verbal attempts to get her in his vehicle. A second pedestrian approached the teenager and the male drove off, southbound on Orleans Boulevard.
The male is described as an English speaking white male, 25-30 years, with a very thin build, short blond hair, and wearing a dark T-shirt. The vehicle was a compact pickup truck, with an unknown marker.
