(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Human Trafficking Unit (HTU) confirms that Marina JAVIER has turned herself in this morning.
JAVIER is facing the following charges:
- Trafficking in persons under eighteen years by exercising control
- Financial / material benefit / trafficking person under eighteen
- Material benefit from sexual services provided by person under eighteen
- Procuring / recruit person under eighteen to provide sexual services for consideration
- Breach of recognizance
She will appear in show cause court tomorrow.
There are concerns that there are other victims. The investigation is ongoing.

Arrest warrant for Marina JAVIER for Human Trafficking offences
(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Human Trafficking Unit (HTU) confirms that an arrest warrant has been issued for Marina JAVIER for Human Trafficking offences.
Human Trafficking investigators advise that she is known to recruit underage females, some being in group homes, for the purpose of Human Trafficking.
JAVIER is described as a Caucasian female, 33 years old, 5’2” (157 cm), 183 lbs (83 kg), with curly short dark brown salt & pepper hair (dyed hair) and brown eyes (view picture.)
There are concerns that there are other victims.
