(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit has charged a lone suspect following three weekend retail robberies.
On December 3, 2017, three separate robbery reports were received:
- Convenience store-300 block of Elgin St @ 6:00 am
- Fast food restaurant-0-100 block of Rideau St @ 7:00 am
- Gas station-1400 block of Baseline Rd @ 7:40 am
In the first two incidents, the lone suspect produced a demand note making a demand for cash. In the final incident, the suspect made a verbal demand. In all instances, the suspect fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash. No weapon was seen. The suspect was located by Frontline officers later on December 3, and arrested without incident.
Kyle Alinott, age 24, of Ottawa, has been charged with the following offences:
- Three (3) counts of robbery
- Two (2) counts of wearing a disguise
Mr. Alinott appears in court on December 4, 2017.
