(Ottawa) –The victim of the murder suicide on Sunday morning has been identified as Safaa Marina, 53 of Ottawa succumbed to her gunshot injuries on scene inside the residence.
Touni MARINA, 54 of Ottawa succumbed to his self-inflicted gunshot injuries on scene inside the residence.
Major Crime Unit continue to investigate.

Major Crime investigating a Murder / Suicide
(Ottawa) – On Sunday, February 4, 2018 at approximately 1:30am, the Ottawa Police Service received a 9-1-1 call for service to the 100 block of MacFarlane Road in the city’s west end. The 9-1-1 caller advised police that a female and a male had been shot.
As a result of preliminary investigation the Major Crime section has taken carriage of the file and is now investigating a murder – suicide.
Investigation is ongoing.
