Ottawa man charged following a series of Assaults on Rideau Street

(Ottawa) –On March 6, 2018, the Central Criminal Investigation Unit of the Ottawa Police Service has charged a man in relation to assaults on Rideau Street.

During the late afternoon of March 6^th, patrol officers responded to an assault call on Rideau Street near the Rideau Centre. While investigating, the officers found that a male had randomly assaulted five persons while they were walking on the sidewalk. 

Mustafa KHOSHNAW, 26 years old of Ottawa, has been charged with five counts of Assault.  He appeared in court on March 7^th. He has been remanded into custody until March 19^th.

The Ottawa Police is concerned that there are more victims. If you have been a victim or witness to these incidents, please contact police.
