(Ottawa) – Ottawa Police, City By-law and other community partners will be conducting community safety education and enforcement initiatives this weekend in several downtown neighbourhoods to help ensure safe and law-abiding behaviour.
Residents will see an increased police presence around downtown neighbourhoods, including the ByWard Market and Sandy Hill.
“We want to ensure that everyone can enjoy their neighbourhoods and that activities are safe and law-abiding. Please be responsible and obey all laws,” said Insp. Rob Drummond.
Along with regular duties officers will be on the lookout for several offences including violations of the Liquor Licence Act, Trespass to Property Act and other criminal offences.
