(Ottawa)—On May 6, 2018 police officers responded to a call for service about threats made at a business located in the 500 block of West Hunt Club Road.
At approx. 4:05pm, the male suspect entered the building, made threats to former colleagues and fled in his vehicle following a verbal altercation. The vehicle was located a short time later by an officer in the dead end of Bentley Avenue.
The officer made a traffic stop and while he was entering information in his police cruiser, the male suspect pulled away with his vehicle and rammed the police vehicle.
Other officers soon arrived on scene and successfully arrested the male without incident.
The officer suffered minor injuries when his vehicle was struck.
Today, West Criminal Investigations charged Fadi ALNOUILATI, 36 years old, of Ottawa with:
- Flight while being pursued
- Dangerous driving cause bodily harm
- Utter threats x 2
- Mischief to property over $5000
- Assault with a weapon
- Breach of Probation
He appeared in court on Monday, May 7th.
