(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Human Trafficking Unit was involved in a joint investigation with the Provincial Institutional Investigative Unit, Montreal Police (SPVM) and Kawartha Lakes Police in relation to Human Trafficking offences.
Two people involved in Human Trafficking were charged as follows:
- Raphael DUCHARD, (male) 29 years old, of Montreal has received new conditions. Duchard was arrested today in Lindsay, Ontario where is he currently incarcerated as a result of his sentencing for previous charges of Human Trafficking. While incarcerated, he continued being involved in Human Trafficking offences. He will be facing new charges relating to Human Trafficking in Lindsay, Ontario.
- Elizabeth LUCERO-BEJARANO, (female) 22 years old, of Montreal, was arrested last Wednesday in Montreal. She was currently awaiting trial for Human Trafficking charges. She faces new conditions relating to Human Trafficking and will be charged further.
