(Ottawa)–The Ottawa Police Service is looking for public assistance to identify the deceased man that was found by a passer-by in the Rideau River near Bordeleau Park around 8:40am on Friday, July 6, 2018.
A post-mortem examination was conducted and no foul play is suspected. It is believed that the man had been in the water for approx. 24 hours.
The deceased did not have any identification information, tattoo or jewellery; and his description did not match any missing persons’ file in the Ottawa-Gatineau area.
He is described as a black male, between 30-50 years old, 5’8” (173cm), 144lbs (65kg), with very short black hair and clean-shaven. He was wearing a grey t-shirt with no logo. The male had a hip replacement surgery on the right hip.
