(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a bank robbery and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible.
On November 24, 2015, at approximately 12:30 pm, a lone male suspect entered a bank situated along the 1100 block of Bank Street in the Glebe area. The suspect waited for a period inside the branch before approaching a customer service representative. The suspect produced a note making a demand for money. The suspect fled the bank with an undisclosed quantity of cash. He was last seen on foot westbound on Hopewell from Bank St. There were no injuries.
The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 30-40, tall and heavyset, spoke English, clean shaven. At the time he was wearing a large blue sweater, grey pants, and an orange construction jacket with an “X” on the back, large dark sunglasses, and carried a clipboard (view pictures.)
