(Ottawa) –Today, Ottawa Police Service has charged an Ottawa man with 2 counts of Indecent Assault on a Female, 5 counts of Gross Indecency, 1 count of Rape, 2 counts of Sexual Intercourse/Female under 14 years of age, 2 counts of Sexual Intercourse/Female between 14 and 16 years, 2 counts of Indecent Assault on a Male as a result of incidents that occurred 30 years ago.
An investigation was commenced on July 10, 2018 after a victim came forward.
Jacques JOLY, 62 years old, of Ottawa appeared in show cause court today.
Investigators believe that there may be other victims and are asking them to contact police.
There have also been charges laid under the YCJA in regards to historical incidents. No further information will be released as it pertains to those charges.
