Wellington robbery suspect to identify

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, October 05, 2018   10:17am 

(Ottawa) –On Thursday, September 27, 2018 at approximately 5:09am, a lone female entered a commercial store at the 1000 block of Wellington Street west where she ran to the clerk and took control of the employee.   

The clerk was forced to open the cash register.   An undisclosed amount of money and cigarettes was taken.  The female suspect fled on foot going south on Fairmont Avenue.  No injuries were reported from the clerk.

The female suspect is described as fair skin, approximately 5’7” (170cm), skinny build, English speaking.  She wore a black with white print bandana, a pair of chrome rimmed sunglasses, and light grey hoodie with number 3 over left breast area.  Under the hoodie she was wearing a black and white plaid shirt, dark tight jeans and black and white running shoes.  The suspect also wore blue latex gloves. (see pictures) 

Of note: prior to the robbery, the suspect had removed a black coat.
