(Ottawa)–The Ottawa Police Service Collision Investigation Unit (CIU) is seeking witnesses from the collision on Durocher Street last Friday, March 23rd.
That day, at approximately 12:20pm, a silver four (4) door Nissan vehicle traveled on Durocher Street near Deschamps Avenue. A collision occurred where a pedestrian was trapped under the vehicle. Firefighters with Ottawa Fire Services extricated the pedestrian from under the vehicle. He was treated and transported to hospital by Ottawa Paramedic Service suffering from life-threatening injuries.
The 60 year old man succumbed to his injuries in hospital.
CIU investigators are seeking to speak to witnesses that have not yet spoken with them; who were either at the scene or have seen the vehicle prior to the collision.
