(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service Major Crime Unit continues to investigate the homicide of Opiny P’Ochieng.
Investigators believe that Opiny was picked up by a person or person(s) in a vehicle shortly after walking away from the corner of Cantin Street and Montreal Road at approx. 3:00am on May 5th.
Police are seeking any information on the vehicle that drove Opiny to the Russell Road and Southvale Crescent area; as well as any person that may have interacted with him during this time. There is no vehicle description available at this time.

Seeking information on whereabouts of homicide victim
(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service Major Crime Unit continues to investigate the homicide of Opiny P’Ochieng, 49 years old, of Ottawa. He was found dead by a passerby on Saturday, May 5th in the area of Russell Road and Southvale Crescent at about 3:30am.
Opiny was last seen in the area of Montreal Road and Cantin Street between 3:00 and 3:30am and Major Crime investigators would like public assistance in determining his whereabouts between those hours.
Ottawa Police is also asking nearby establishments to check their video security systems for any sightings.
Opiny’s picture is being released for that purpose. He is described as a black male, 5’4” (163cm) and 130lbs (59kg).
