(Ottawa) – Ottawa Police Frontline officers responded to a possible carjacking this morning at 5:34am in the 3300 block of Fallowfield road.
A male suspect approached the victim, stated that he had a gun. The suspect then told the victim to get out of the vehicle and he drove away. The victim was not injured.
Responding officers located the stolen vehicle on the roadway many kilometres away. The vehicle was stopped and the suspect arrested without incident.
Mahamoud ABDILLAHI, 23 years old, of Ottawa has been charged with:
- Robbery with violence
- Dangerous driving
- Breach of recognizance
ABDILLAHI is scheduled to appear in court today.
