(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service is pleased to announce that our switchboard service was reinstated last month.
When people call our non-emergency number at 613-236-1222, in addition to the current menu system offered, callers now have the option to speak to someone on switchboard to help direct their call.
The switchboard is staffed Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., excluding holidays.
“Upon consultation with the public and our members, we determined a need for the switchboard service to be returned,” said Acting Inspector Hugh O’Toole. “We are continuously improving our telephone menu options and you can expect to see additional enhancements to our menu system this fall.”
