(Ottawa) – A man wanted by Ottawa Police Service in relation to a warrant for sexual assault charges was arrested Saturday, August 3, following his entry into the country on an International flight landing in Vancouver, British Columbia.
John David COON, age 55, will appear in court by video remand on Wednesday, August 7, 2019.
Investigators believe there may be other victims.

Ottawa Police seeking public information on wanted man
(Ottawa) — In July 2013, the Ottawa Police Service began an investigation following a complaint of a sexual assault on a minor by an adult male during the exercise of his functions as a lawyer.
Today, a warrant was issued for the arrest of John David COON, 49 years old of Ottawa in relation to allegations of sexual assault, sexual interference and invitation to sexual touching.
COON has not been located at the time and Ottawa Police are seeking public information as to his current whereabouts. It is possible that he has left the country.
The Ottawa Police is confirming that Mr. Coon practiced Family Law in the Ottawa area for many years. There are concerns that there could be further victims.
