(Ottawa) – This morning at approx. 1:00am, Frontline officers responded to a personal robbery in the 4200 block of Innes Road, involving two male suspects who got out of a vehicle and stole the phone on a man who was on the sidewalk.
One suspect further demanded the victim’s wallet and bag and struck him with a baseball bat when the victim did not comply.
Officers soon located and arrested the two suspects at a nearby parking lot.
As a result of the follow-up investigation by the Robbery Unit, charges have been laid as follows:
Pier-Luc MALETTE, 29 years old of Gatineau
- Possession weapon
- Robbery with weapon
- Conspiracy
Calvin CRETE, 21 years old of Gatineau
- Possession weapon
- Robbery with weapon
- Conspiracy
Both males were released on recognizance and are scheduled to appear at court at a later date in October.
