(Ottawa) — On Friday the 13th of September members of the Ottawa Police Service Drug Unit, with assistance from members of Pivot, arrested a male at Range Rd at Somerset Street East. Officers conducting the arrest immediately observed and seized a loaded .45 calibre Glock handgun in the driver’s side door.
Officers also seized purple fentanyl, cocaine, and Canadian currency.
The male, Brightner CASSEUS, 20, of Ottawa, has been charged with the following and is scheduled to appear in court today.
CHARGES:
- 2 X Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking in a Schedule I Substance
- Possess Loaded Regulated Firearm
- Possess Firearm Obtained by Crime
- Possess Firearm with Altered Serial Number
- Careless Storage of a firearm
- Possession of a Weapon Dangerous to Public Peace
- Possess Firearm Knowing Its Possession Unauthorized
- Unlicensed Person Possess Prohibited Weapon
- Possess Prohibited Weapon Knowing No Authority
- Breach of Probation
- Possess Proceeds Over $5000.00
