Warrant for 2nd degree murder

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Friday, October 20, 2017    4:15pm 

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Major Crime Section has issued a Warrant for the arrest of Farah HANDULE, 20 of Toronto on the charge of second degree murder. 

Major Crime investigators are asking for public assistance in locating HANDULE (view picture). He is described as 6’1” (185cm), 150 lbs (68 kg) with a dark complexion. If seen, contact 911.  HANDULE may be armed and is considered dangerous. 

HANDULE has been charged in relation to the homicide of Hamzeh Serhan on September 20, 2017.

Homicide On Caldwell Avenue

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Major Crime Section is investigating a homicide that occurred on Caldwell Avenue.

On September 20, at approximately 3:20 pm, patrol officers responded to a call of gunshots in the area of Caldwell Avenue. At the scene officers located a male who had been shot. The male was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

The victim is Hamzeh Serhan, 20 years old, of Ottawa.

The investigation continues.
