(Ottawa) – Frontline officers responded to a stabbing in the 200 block of Murray Street on Saturday, February 15, 2020. A 40 year old man suffered non-life threatening injuries.
At 9:53pm, security officers working in the Murray Street area located a man that had been stabbed, provided first aid and called 911. The male suspect was no longer in the area when officers arrived. The victim was transported to hospital.
The investigators were able to identify the suspect and he was subsequently arrested by Frontline officers on Sunday evening without incident.
On February 16, 2020, the Ottawa Police Service Central Criminal Investigations Unit charged Sayed Abdul Wahab DADSHANI, 42 years old, of Ottawa with:
- Aggravated Assault
- Assault with a Weapon
- Possess Weapons Dangerous to public Peace
DADSHANI appeared in court on February 17, 2020.
