(Ottawa)—This morning, Frontline officers arrested a man in Sandy Hill when they responded to a call for service about a suspicious incident.
At approximately 8:15am, officers attended the 200 block of Daly Avenue for a complaint about a man who had climbed on a balcony looking into an apartment window. They quickly located a man matching the description of the suspect.
Further investigation determined that the same man had been seen at the same building last evening, and had engaged the victim in unwanted conversation.
Stephan BERARD, 37 years old, of Ottawa was charged with:
- Voyeurism
- Criminal harassment
- Fail to comply with a probation order
He is scheduled to appear in court today.
A 31 year old male from Gatineau was charged on March 10th for 7 similar incidents.
Ottawa Police would like to thank Sandy Hill residents for reporting this suspicious behaviour.
