(Ottawa) – Frontline Officers responded to a swarming in the 1-100 block of Stonehaven Drive on October 3rd.
At approximately 1:00 am, a group of four males approached two teenagers who were outside enjoying a snack. The four suspects demanded that the two young men give them their money and possessions. The suspects then began to punch and kick the victims. The suspects stole several items and left the area in a vehicle. Both victims suffered minor injuries.
Responding officers located and stopped the vehicle. All four suspects were arrested without incident. A replica hand gun, brass knuckles and a Mama knife were seized.
The Ottawa Police Robbery Unit charged three 16 year old young men and a 15 year old young man with:
- Robbery with violence x2
- Possession of a prohibited weapon
- Possession of weapon for the purpose of committing an offence
- Possession of stolen property x2
All four are scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
