Ottawa — During the month of November, the Ottawa Police Street Crime Unit commenced an investigation into drug trafficking in the city of Ottawa, and a Controlled Drugs and Substances Act Search warrant was executed today in a residence in the Elmvale Acres area.
A search of the residence revealed a loaded firearm and a second unloaded firearm with ammunition. Drug paraphernalia and an expandable baton were also seized.
The Ottawa Police Street Crime Unit charged Justin FONZON, 26 years old, of Ottawa with several firearms charges, including:
- Possession of a firearm obtained by crime x2
- Possession of a loaded firearm
- Careless storage of a firearm x2
He is scheduled to appear in court today.
