(Ottawa)—The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section is investigating the report of a sexual assault that occurred in the 300 block of Besserer Street in the Sandy Hill area on May 5, at approximately 10pm.
On that evening, a woman in her early twenties was walking on Besserer Street when she was grabbed by an unknown male and pulled into a secluded area. A man and a woman who were out walking their dog were alerted to the incident. When they approached the area the suspect fled on foot.
The male suspect is described as Caucasian, 20-30 years of age, 5’10”(178 cm), slim build, dark medium length curly hair. He was wearing a hat (possibly a ball cap), dark baggy pants (possibly cargo pants) and a black sweater.
