Shooting investigation at a business on Beech Street

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Monday, February 22, 2016         12:45pm 

(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Service is investigating damage to the front window of a local business that was caused by multiple gunshots in the 1-100 block of Beech Street.  

On February 22, 2016, at approximately 5:30am, staff entered the premises and found damage to the front window and ceiling and contacted police.  

Patrol officers and investigators attended and confirmed that shots were fired.  No person was inside the building when this incident took place -- the actual time of incident has yet to be determined. 

The Guns and Gangs Unit has taken carriage of the investigation. Investigators are seeking witnesses.
