Spratt Road robbery suspect to be identified - with photo

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday March 3, 2016   8:38am 

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating the robbery of a convenience store and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible. 

On January 31, 2016, at approximately 11:10 pm, a lone male entered a convenience store situated along the 4100 block Spratt Rd in the Riverside South community.  The suspect, brandishing a knife, made a demand for cash. The suspect was provided with an undisclosed quantity of money and fled the premises.  There were no injuries. 

The suspect took efforts to conceal his identity.  He is described as being a Caucasian male, medium build, approximately 5’8” (173cm).  The suspect may have had a slight limp at the time.  The suspect wore a purple hooded sweatshirt, light coloured cargo pants, black gloves and grey sneakers.
