Suspect to be identified from a personal robbery on June 30

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, July 28, 2015             12:14pm   

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is looking for the public’s assistance in identifying a robbery suspect.

On June 30, 2015 at approximately 3:00am, a male suspect approached a man in the ByWard Market area and engaged in conversation. The male suspect directed the victim to empty his pockets and turn over his wallet.  There were no injuries reported.

Around 4:20am, the male suspect attended a grocery store in the 2200 block of Bank Street where he proceeded to make several purchases with the victim’s stolen credit cards.

The suspect is described as a Caucasian male, 5’6” (168cm), 150lbs (68kg), in his 20s with brown hair (see pictures).
