Looking to identify a suspect from a robbery on Parkdale Ave

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Thursday, May 31, 2018    10:00am 

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a robbery that occurred in the 200 block of Parkdale Avenue on April 5, 2018 at about 11:38 pm.

A lone male entered the store and requested cigarettes. As the clerk handed him the cigarettes the suspect demanded cash and claimed to have a gun. The clerk handed over the cash. The suspect fled on foot and was last seen heading east on Scott Street.

The suspect was described as a black, 5’9” (180 cm), weighing about 180 lbs (81 kg), shaved head/balding and unshaven face. At the time of the robbery, he had a swollen right eye. He was wearing a light grey jacket with dark grey paneling down the side and a red logo across the left breast and blue jeans (see photo).
