(Ottawa)–Frontline patrol officers arrested a woman yesterday following a bank robbery in the downtown core.
On Tuesday, July 17th at approx. 4:30pm a female suspect walked into a bank in the 100 block of Bank Street and demanded money from the cashier. She left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.
Patrol officers were already in the area and a description was obtained from witnesses and video surveillance. The suspect was seen at Metcalfe and Queen Streets minutes after and was arrested.
Sunshine MADELEY, 39 years old of Ottawa is charged with one count of Robbery.
MADELEY is scheduled to appear at show cause today.
