(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Central District Investigators identified the male from the January 31, 2016 incident where a 13-year-old girl was offered a stuffed animal.
Officers interviewed the male and determined that there was no criminal intent. The file is now closed and no charge has been laid.
The Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Section continues to investigate the third party report alleging that a child luring and sexual assault occurred in the area of Grove Avenue and Leonard Avenue on November 30, 2015.

Seeking to identify a suspicious male approaching teenage girls
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Section is investigating two reported incidents of a suspicious male attempting to lure teenage girls into a vehicle.
On December 5, 2015 the Ottawa Police received a third party report alleging that a child luring and sexual assault occurred in the area of Grove Avenue and Leonard Avenue on November 30, 2015 between the hours 7:45pm and 9:00pm involving a 15 year old girl. The victim is not providing further information to police, at this time.
The suspect male is described as a Caucasian male, 40-50 years old, slim build with short grey hair. He was wearing a t-shirt. The vehicle is described as a black pick-up truck.
On January 31, 2016 a report was received by Ottawa Police that a 13 year old girl was walking on Pansy Avenue near Seneca Street at approximately 5:45pm when a male stopped his vehicle, exited and offered her a stuffed animal. The young girl declined and immediately left the area.
The male is described as a Caucasian male, 30-40 years old, short dark brown hair, approximately 6' (183cm). He was wearing a dark jacket possibly, grey, black or brown. The vehicle is described as a black Chevrolet pick-up.
The Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Section has yet to determine if these incidents are related.
