(Ottawa) — On Wednesday, July 17, 2019 members of the Ottawa Police Service Drug Unit, the Ontario Provincial Police Biker Enforcement Unit (BEU) and Organized Crime Enforcement Bureau executed two Controlled Drugs and Substances Act (CDSA) search warrants in the Kemptville area.
The first warrant was at a business in the 2800 block of County Road 43 in Kemptville and the second warrant was at a residence in the 2400 block of McGovern Road in Oxford Mills.
Drugs seized are believed to be Oxycodone, cannabis concentrate, THC vape pens, CBD oil. All drugs are still to be analyzed by Health Canada. Other property seized included digital scale, mechanical press, Canadian and U.S. currency as well as Hells Angels paraphernalia.
The charged persons are Adam DRUMMOND, 36 years old and Shannon HARPER-DRUMMOND, 31 years old, both from Oxford Mills.
Both were charged with:
- Possess Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking 5(2) CDSA x1
- Possession of Cannabis for the Purpose of Distributing 9(2) Cannabis Act x3
- Possession of Proceeds under $5000 354(1)(a) Criminal Code (CC) x1
Drummond faces 5 further counts of Breach Recognizance 145(3) CC; while Harper-Drummond faces one count of Breach Undertaking 145(5.1) CC.
Both are scheduled to appear in court in Ottawa today.
