(Ottawa)- Ottawa Police Frontline officers responded to a call about a vehicle driving at high rates of speed in the area of Dunrobin Road yesterday at 3:11pm.
A witness called 911 to report a vehicle driving at high rates of speed, weaving in and out of oncoming traffic. As the witness was on the phone he saw the driver lose control, the vehicle rolled over into the ditch, the male driver exited the vehicle and attempted to run away. Two other witnesses stepped in and were able to keep the suspect driver at the scene of the collision.
Officers arrived and arrested the male suspect without incident.
West Criminal Investigations has charged Zackery HILL, 18 years old, of Ottawa with:
- Dangerous Operation of a Conveyance
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime under $5000
- Fail to Comply with a YCJA Sentence
HILL is scheduled to appear in court this morning.
