(Ottawa) – Frontline officers responded to a call about a stabbing incident in the 200 block of Murray Street yesterday.
At approximately 9:15am, a man appearing to be extremely agitated was having a verbal argument with the victim, outside in front of a local shelter.
At one point, the man pulled a knife and stabbed the victim in the face, causing a severe laceration. The man then fled the scene on foot. The injury was deemed non-life-threatening.
The follow-up investigation by Central Criminal Investigations helped to identify the male suspect and Frontline Officers located and arrested the man without incident this morning.
As a result, Donovan BRAMWELL, 48 years old, of Ottawa was charged with:
- Assault with a Weapon
- Carrying a concealed weapon
- Possession of a weapon
- Breach of Probation x2
He is scheduled to appear in court today.
