(Ottawa) – Frontline officers responded to a shooting in the 2000 block of Weldon Drive on Friday, May 1st.
At approximately 9:43pm, a man was shot while inside a moving vehicle at the intersection of St-Laurent Boulevard and Lemieux Street by another passenger in the vehicle. The driver immobilized his vehicle in front of a house located on the 2000 block of Weldon Drive where the injured man exited. Both the driver and the suspect left the scene before officers arrived.
The victim that was transported to the hospital suffered life-threatening injuries. The victim is stable but remains in serious condition.
The Guns and Gangs Unit is looking to speak with anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
