(Ottawa) –Today, the Ottawa Police Guns and Gangs Unit, Tactical Unit and PIVOT, seized drugs and arrested a man following the execution of a search warrant in the 200 block of Montreal Road. The investigation began in March 2020 following public complaints about drug trafficking.
Items seized included: Cocaine, Fentanyl, Hydromorphone, Canadian currency, 3 cell phones, Drug packaging and brass knuckles.
Trevor PROVOST, 49 years old, of Ottawa is charged with:
- Use/Handle/Store Prohibited Weapon Carelessly
- Possess weapon dangerous to public peace
- Unlicensed Person Possess prohibited/restricted weapon
- Possess Prohibited/Restricted weapon or prohibited device knowing no authority
- Possess proceeds of property or thing obtained by crime/not exceeding $5000
- Possession of Schedule I for the purpose of trafficking x3
He is scheduled to appear in court at a later date.
