Man wanted in King Edward Avenue stabbing

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Wednesday, May 20, 2020         5:00pm 

(Ottawa) – Frontline officers responded to a call indicating that a woman had been stabbed on the block of 200 block of King Edward Avenue on May 11th.  

At approximately 8:23pm, two women were involved in a verbal argument outside the front of a local shelter. At one point, a man became involved; he walked towards one of the women and slashed her in the face with a box cutter before leaving the scene.   

The victim suffered serious injuries and was transported to hospital. The victim’s injuries were deemed to be non-life-threatening.  

The follow-up investigation by Central Criminal Investigations was completed.

As a result, David INUTIQ, 31 years old, of no fixed address is wanted for: 

  • Assault with a Weapon
  • Aggravated Assault
  • Possession of a weapon 

INUTIQ is described as an Indigenous man, 5’8” (173cm), 152 lbs (69kg), tan complexion, athletic build, black eyes, black short hair, moustache, goatee and sideburns (see photos).
