Public assistance sought to locate 47 year old man in distress

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:  Tuesday, September 15, 2020  1:47pm 

(Ottawa) – The Ottawa Police Service is asking for public assistance in locating missing Lee Whitmore, 47 years old, of Ottawa. He was last heard from yesterday. Lee is in mental health distress and his family is concerned for his wellbeing and safety. 

Lee is a described as a Caucasian man, 6’ tall (183 cm), 190lbs (86kg) with light brown hair balding grey and blue eyes. There is no clothing description available. 

Lee may be driving a 2016 red Hyundai Elantra GT 4-door vehicle with Ontario plate CAKZ124. He may be in the Ottawa-Gatineau area. 

Anyone with information about the current whereabouts of Lee is asked to call the Ottawa Police at 613-236-1222. 

If you have information that could assist investigators, but do not know where he is currently, please contact the Missing Persons Unit 613-236-1222, ext. 2355, between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm, daily.
