(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Sexual Assault and Child Abuse (SACA) Section has charged on Ottawa youth following an investigation of a Sexual Assault which occurred on an OC Transpo bus.
On June 8, 2016, the Ottawa Police Service received a report of a teenage male inappropriately touching a woman on a bus. The incident occurred at about 7:00am on May 31, 2016 while the woman was riding the #85 near the Lincoln Fields Station.
There was another similar incident on the same bus on the morning of June 8, 2016, which involved another unidentified female. He carried a black backpack on every occasion.
On June 13th the male was again seen on the bus; he was identified, arrested, and charged for the May 31, 2016 incident.
The 15 year old youth was charged with one count of Sexual Assault and will appear in court at a later date. SACA investigators are concerned that there could be other victims.
