(Ottawa) — Today, the Ottawa Police Service Internet Child Exploitation Unit (ICE) charged an Ottawa man following an investigation of Child Pornography.
Juan Pablo JARAMILLO-SOTO, 24 years old, of Ottawa, has been charged with:
* 2 counts of Luring under the age of 18, contrary to s. 172.1 (1)(a) of the CCC
* 1 count of Luring under the age of 16, contrary to s. 172.1 (1)(b) of the CCC
* 2 counts of Making sexually explicit material available to a child,
contrary to s. 171.1 of the CCC
* 1 count of Breach of Recognizance, contrary to s. 145 (3) of the CCC
He is scheduled to appear at court for a bail hearing on June 16.
The Ottawa Police Service is concerned that there are other victims who are being groomed by the accused for a sexual purpose. However, further details about this investigation will not be released publicly so as to protect the identity of the victims.
