As a result, the West District Investigation Unit investigation is deemed complete and is concluded as unfounded.

Looking to identify suspect of assault in Sheila McKee Park
(Ottawa) –The Ottawa Police Service West District Investigation Unit is seeking public assistance to identify the suspect of an assault.
On May 12, 2015 at approximately 8:30pm, a female jogger, in her 30s, parked at Sheila McKee Park and ran in the trails for about 25 minutes. She heard a male voice yell obscenities at her and she was hit on the back of the head. She was then hit repeatedly in the face before she passed out.
When she awoke moments later to the sound of her own cell phone ringing, she saw that the suspect - who had fled the scene - had taken pictures of her, unconscious, with her own cell phone and sent these pictures to some of her phone contacts.
The female returned to her vehicle and awaited the arrival of police, who had been called by her friends who had received the photo.
The suspect is described as a male, 5ft10 (178 cm), broad shoulders and wearing dark clothing and a black mask. He was speaking English.
