Robbery suspects to be identified

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Tuesday, October 20, 2015       10:55 am       

(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating the robbery of a furniture store and is seeking the public's assistance in identifying the suspects responsible.

On September 30, 2015, at approximately 8:40 pm, two suspects entered a furniture store situated along the 1700 block of Heron Road. The suspects, disguised, and one armed with a handgun, made their way to the store office and demanded money. The suspects obtained an undisclosed quantity of cash and fled the premises. It is unclear if a vehicle was parked or waiting nearby. There were no injuries.

The suspects are described as follows:

#1: Caucasian male, approximately 5'8" (173 cm), 20-25 years of age, wearing a blond wig, a bandanna over his face, white gloves, black jeans, white shoes, English speaking.

#2: Male, described as possibly a tanned Caucasian male, approximately 5'7" (170 cm), 20-25 years, dressed all in black, face covered with possible bandanna, black "skater" shoes, gloves, English speaking.
