(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Robbery Unit has confirmed that the two persons of interest, per images police released July 7, 2016, both presented themselves to investigators today.
They were interviewed, released, and no charges are anticipated. Investigators appreciated the co-operation of the two men in resolving this particular piece of the investigation.
The swarming investigation continues.

Persons of Interest sought in swarming investigation on McCarthy Road
(Ottawa)— The Ottawa Police Robbery Unit is investigating a swarming and is seeking to identify two persons of interest in relation to the ongoing investigation.
On April 24, 2016, at approximately 11:00 pm, a lone male victim was walking along McCarthy Road near Plante Drive when two males called out to him and asked if he had a phone they could use. When the victim declined, the two suspects followed and then made a demand for the victim’s wallet. The victim fled, but was caught, assaulted, and had his wallet and phone taken. The suspects were last seen running onto Yorkberry Gate. There were no injuries sustained.
The Robbery Unit is seeking to identify two persons of interest in this investigation. These persons were captured on surveillance cameras at the South Keys transit station following the robbery.
