(Ottawa) –The Ottawa Police Service Major Crime Unit has taken over an Aggravated Assault investigation which occurred on April 11, 2018 at the OCRDC (Ottawa Carleton Regional Detention Center).
On Wednesday, at approximately 3pm, Frontline officers attended the detention centre on Innes Road for an assault on a 36 year old man that took place within the detention center. The victim was transported to hospital with life threatening injuries.
Three males are being investigated for Aggravate Assault. No further details will be given at this time.
The three suspects continue to stay in custody.
