(Ottawa)–The Ottawa Police Service is inviting members of the Vanier community to come out to the first “Ask an Officer” event on April 18, 2018 at the Rideau-Rockliffe Resource Centre.
The initiative is being organized by the Youth Section to provide information to parents around curfews, consent, parental responsibility and the Youth Criminal Justice Act (YCJA).
“The open forum gives members of the community the opportunity to ask in any youth- related questions they have, but we are also there to speak to anyone privately afterwards if needed,” said Staff Sergeant John Mbakulo, who heads the Ottawa Police Youth Section.
TIME: 6 pm
LOCATION: 225 Donald Street, Ottawa
Free childcare is available during the session.
