(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit continues to investigate a series of retail robberies and believes the same suspect has recently committed a fourth robbery.
On January 31, 2016, at approximately 7:55pm, a lone male entered a convenience store in the 1800 block of Baseline Road. The suspect, disguised with a shirt or sweater pulled up over his face, made a demand for money. No weapon was seen. The suspect was provided an undisclosed quantity of cash and fled on foot.
He was last seen running on Navaho Drive toward Iris Street. There were no injuries. This store is at the same location as the one robbed on December 18, 2015.
The suspect was similarly described from the first set of robberies. The suspect may have recently cut his hair very short. A witness in the latest robbery also indicated the suspect may have a tattoo on the centre of his chest. The suspect wore a black long sleeved shirt or sweater, and a black ‘puffy’ style vest (see picture attached).

Suspect to be identified in a series of retail robberies
(Ottawa) — The Ottawa Police Service Robbery Unit is investigating a series of retail robberies, all committed by the same suspect, and is seeking the public’s assistance in identifying the suspect responsible.
On December 18, 2015, at approximately 3:10am, a lone suspect entered a gas station situated along the 3700 block of Strandherd Dr. The suspect made a demand for cash and indicated he had a gun. No weapon was seen. The suspect was partially disguised with a t-shirt pulled up on his face. The suspect fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash. There were no injuries.
A short time later, at 4:30 am, the same suspect attended a gas station situated along the 1400 block of Woodroffe Ave. The suspect made a demand for cash and indicated he had a gun. No weapon was seen. The suspect fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash. There were no injuries.
At 4:50 am, the same suspect attended a convenience store situated along the 1800 block of Baseline Rd. The suspect made a demand for cash and threatened to assault the store employee. No weapon was seen. The suspect fled with an undisclosed quantity of cash. There were no injuries.
The suspect is described as being a Caucasian male, possibly 35-45 years, approximately 5’10” (178cm) to 6’0” (183cm), short black or brown hair, medium build, English speaking with no accent. The suspect is balding, and appears to have a visible birthmark or injury on his left forearm. He also appears to be wearing glasses. At the time the suspect wore newer looking jeans and a black t-shirt with yellow and orange writing on it that reads “100% EFFORT” (images attached.)
